Three variations on the same idea a lamp supported by a simple yet robust system inspired by tent construction. These lamps are not tied to a fixed location – they are easy to assemble, move, and understand.

The project draws from simple everyday constructions and explores what happens when they are placed in a new context and given a new function. With a focus on hands-on work, the design process evolved in close dialogue with the materials. By allowing seams, hooks, and structural elements to remain visible, the construction and manufacturing process become a key part of the lamp’s expression. The double-layered filter fabric diffuses the light softly and creates a subtle play of shadows. The result is three variations based on the same structure offering the user freedom in both placement and interpretation.
